Algeria’s annual-average and year-on-year inflation measures both fell sharply between August 2022 and August 2025. Annual-average inflation moved from 9.48% to 2.66%, while year-on-year inflation moved from 10.82% to −1.19%. The annual-average rate declined 6.82 percentage points. The year-on-year rate declined 12.01 percentage points and was 3.85 points below the annual-average rate in August 2025.
