Queensland ranks first at 131% of average, followed by the Northern Territory at 106%. South Australia records the lowest result at 72%, while the Australian Capital Territory is excluded because no directly comparable area-average value is provided.

The ranking uses 2025 area-averaged rainfall as a percentage of the 1961–1990 average for each jurisdiction with a directly comparable Bureau of Meteorology value. The Australian Capital Territory is excluded because the annual state and territory series does not provide an equivalent area-average observation.
