What the Data Shows
Cambodia’s informal-employment rate covers the employed population in the preliminary 2025 labour-force results. Informal work accounted for 76.7% of employment, leaving 23.3% outside the informal category. The informal share was 3.29 times the non-informal share. The separate rural-employment and dependent-contractor indicators describe labour-market structure but are not components of the informality rate.

Data notes & caveats
The 2025 labour-force results are preliminary. Rural employment and dependent contracting have separate definitions and do not add to the informal-employment rate.
Methodology
The official informality rate is the focal value. The non-informal share and multiple are computed from the 100% employment denominator.
Source consistency notes
All figures use the same preliminary 2025 Cambodia labour-force report, with each percentage retaining its stated denominator.
