What the Data Shows
Participation, unemployment and employment rates are compared across Canada’s 10 provinces in June 2026. All three columns are seasonally adjusted Labour Force Survey percentages, with participation and employment based on the population aged 15 and over and unemployment based on the labour force. Alberta had the highest participation rate at 69.5% and the highest employment rate at 64.6%. Newfoundland and Labrador had the highest unemployment rate at 8.2%, while the minimum was 5.4%.
