What the Data Shows
China’s mean disposable income per person is compared for national, urban and rural residents in 2025. Urban residents recorded 56,502 yuan, compared with 43,377 yuan nationally and 24,456 yuan for rural residents. The urban value was 2.31 times the rural value. The urban-rural gap was 32,046 yuan per person.

Methodology
The three official mean income values are compared directly; the national value is a benchmark and is not added to the urban and rural values.
