What the Data Shows

China’s national general public budget revenue was 21.6045 trillion yuan in 2025. General public budget expenditure reached 28.7395 trillion yuan. Expenditure exceeded revenue by 7.1350 trillion yuan, equal to 33.0% of revenue. Tax revenue accounted for 81.6% of budget revenue, while 2.8557 trillion yuan of tax and fee relief supported science, technology and manufacturing policies.
