Data notes & caveats

The categories are a major-commodity selection rather than China’s complete import universe. Negative values indicate lower import value than in 2024, not negative imports.

Methodology

The 13 NBS commodity categories are ordered by year-on-year change in import value. Physical-volume changes are excluded so every row uses one metric and one unit.

Source consistency notes

All 13 rows use the same NBS release, 2025 period and year-on-year import-value growth basis.
