Colombia’s registered births fell from 647,521 in 2016 to a provisional 433,678 in 2025. DANE classifies the 2016–2024 values as definitive and the 2025 value as provisional. The endpoint decline was 213,843 births, equal to 33.0%. The provisional 2025 total was also 20,223 below the definitive 2024 count.
