What the Data Shows
Taipei interbank foreign-exchange turnover is divided between foreign and domestic bank counterparties in July 2025. The two published components form a complete interbank subtotal of US$774.3B. Foreign banks accounted for 75.3% of interbank turnover, equal to US$583.2B. Domestic banks supplied the remaining 24.7%, or US$191.1B.

Bank-customer transactions are outside the interbank universe. The result therefore differs from each bank group’s share of the full FX market.
Methodology
The published domestic-bank and foreign-bank turnover values were added to form the complete interbank subtotal. Each group was then divided by that subtotal.

Both segments use the same central-bank release, July period, US-dollar basis and interbank scope.
