Food available by nation, kilocalories per person per day, FAOSTAT 2023.

What the Data Shows

Dietary energy supply is ranked by nation using 2023 food-balance values for food available for human consumption. The leaderboard contains 10 nations measured in kilocalories per person per day. The United States ranked first at 3,947 kcal/day, followed by Belgium and Ireland at 3,921 kcal/day each when rounded. The measure captures food supply availability, not individual calorie intake.
