Data notes & caveats

The rate is the share of employed people age 15 or older living in households below the US$3-a-day international poverty line on a purchasing-power-parity basis. Nations can draw on different national or reviewed collection systems, so small differences should be interpreted cautiously.

Methodology

The ranking uses ILOSTAT observations for working poverty rate among employed people age 15+ in 2025, covering both sexes and people age 15 or older. Regional summary groups are excluded and nations are ordered from highest to lowest. Equal values retain tied ranks. Compact labels are rounded consistently for readability.

Source consistency notes

All entries use the same ILOSTAT measure, 2025 period and measurement unit (percent). National collection systems vary by nation, so very small gaps are less comparable than larger differences.
