Data notes & caveats

Imports are goods and services for World Development Indicators-calculated countries. Values are current US dollars and rounded.

Methodology

For World Development Indicators economies, import value equals GDP multiplied by imports of goods and services as a share of GDP, then divided by area. Macao uses World Integrated Trade Solution current import value divided by area.

Source consistency notes

Most values use World Bank World Development Indicators; Macao uses WITS/World Development Indicators because it gives a cleaner public import-value figure for the territory.
