This comparison ranks improved drinking-water coverage across Pakistan’s four provinces and Islamabad Capital Territory in 2023. Each rate divides households classified as having improved drinking water by the same area’s total households. Islamabad and Punjab were effectively tied at 96.6% after rounding, with Islamabad marginally higher on the unrounded rate. Balochistan recorded the lowest coverage at 71.4%, a 25.2 percentage-point range.
