What the Data Shows

Kenya’s GDP per person is tracked from 2015 to 2024. Values are current US dollars per resident, so changes reflect both real economic activity and price or exchange-rate movements. GDP per person rose from US$1,489 in 2015 to US$2,133 in 2024, an increase of US$644. The series reached its highest value in 2024 after falling from US$2,110 in 2022 to US$1,943 in 2023.
