What the Data Shows

Internet use in Kenya is tracked from 2015 to 2024 as a share of the population. The measure is the percentage of people who used the internet, not the number of subscriptions. The share rose from 16.6% in 2015 to 35.0% in 2024, an increase of 18.4 percentage points. The 2024 rate was more than twice the 2015 level.
