What the Data Shows
Global major-arms exporter concentration is measured by supplier share of total major-arms exports over 2021–25. The rows rank the top five supplier states and use global major-arms exports as the denominator. The United States led with 42% of global exports, more than seven times China’s fifth-place share of 5.6%. The top two suppliers accounted for 51.8% and the top five for 69.9% of global major-arms exports.

Data notes & caveats
SIPRI major-arms shares are based on trend-indicator values rather than financial export values. Published shares are rounded.
Methodology
Rows use SIPRI top exporter shares for 2021–25. Top-2 and top-5 concentration metrics sum the displayed global-share rows, and the multiple compares the first and fifth rows.
Source consistency notes
Rows use the same SIPRI fact sheet, same 2021–25 period and same share-of-global-exports unit.
