Data notes & caveats
FAO reports the country shares rounded to one decimal place and the world capture total as 91.0 million tonnes. The graphic therefore uses the published shares without reconstructing country tonnages.
Methodology
The leading published country shares were retained in FAO order and plotted against the common world capture-production denominator.
Source consistency notes
Every row uses the same FAO report, the same 2022 world denominator and the same percentage unit.
