Data notes & caveats
SIPRI defines military expenditure broadly as spending by governments on military forces and related activities. SIPRI marks some 2025 country values as estimates or uncertain in the workbook, so official_final_only is false.
Methodology
Rows are sorted descending by SIPRI 2025 military expenditure in current US$ millions. Shares divide each row by the SIPRI 2025 world current-price total.
Source consistency notes
All rows, values and world-total shares use the same SIPRI 2025 release and current-US$ unit.
