Data notes & caveats

The ranking includes every driver with at least three championships. Jimmie Johnson's span extends to his 2025 starts, while Joey Logano remains active in 2026. Championships stop at 2025 because the 2026 title has not been decided.

Methodology

Championship counts and seasons come from NASCAR's season-by-season champion record across the full Cup Series history. Career wins use NASCAR's all-time winners record after Race 20 of 2026. Career span records first and last Cup Series start years, not consecutive full-time seasons.

Source consistency notes

Championship counts share the completed 2025 season endpoint; race wins share the official 12 July 2026 endpoint. The two dates are stated separately because one measure updates annually and the other after each race.
