What the Data Shows

New Payments Platform transactions in Australia are tracked from the 2018 launch through 2025. The series contains eight annual payment counts in millions from Reserve Bank statistics. Transactions rose from 274.9 million in the first complete calendar year of 2019 to 1.86 billion in 2025. The 2018 value covers February through December and is not a complete calendar-year comparison.
