What the Data Shows
Portugal’s utilised agricultural area is divided among four land-use categories for 2023. The categories reconcile to 3.861 million hectares of utilised agricultural area. Permanent grasslands were the largest component at 54.4%. Permanent crops and arable land accounted for 23.3% and 22.0%, while kitchen gardens represented 0.4%.
