Russia’s intellectual-property office granted 21,608 patents in 2024. The measure counts grants by office rather than unique inventors, applicants or resident-owned patents. In WIPO’s 15-office comparison, Russia ranked eighth between Germany and Australia. Germany’s office granted 2,336 more patents than Russia’s.
