Singapore’s resident household count rose from 472,700 in 1980 to 1,487,100 in 2025. That is an increase of 1,014,400 households, or 214.6%. The 2025 total is 3.15 times the 1980 level. The annual series combines census, General Household Survey and Comprehensive Labour Force Survey estimates.
