What the Data Shows
Wheat exporters are ranked by USDA’s 2026/27 trade-year export forecast for wheat, flour and selected wheat products. The data includes five exporters, a world export denominator of 214.1 million tonnes (Mt), and top-two and top-five share calculations. Russia is forecast first at 47.0 Mt, followed by the European Union at 31.0 Mt and Canada at 28.0 Mt. The top five total 152.5 Mt, or 71.2% of forecast world exports, while Russia plus the EU account for 36.4% of the world total.

Data notes & caveats
Values are USDA 2026/27 forecasts and are therefore not final. EU is selected as a regional exporter aggregate in USDA trade tables.
Methodology
Use USDA FAS May 2026 Grain: World Markets and Trade. Wheat trade statistics include wheat, flour, bulgur and selected pasta products on a grain-equivalent basis. Mt means million tonnes unless the source defines a different metric-ton convention.
Source consistency notes
All values and the denominator come from the same USDA report and trade-year framework, but the data are forecast and include the EU aggregate.
