What the Data Shows
The four UK countries are compared by electricity generation relative to consumption in 2024. Every value uses the same DESNZ annual electricity workbook and percent of each country’s electricity consumption. Scotland ranks first at 193.2%, ahead of Wales at 138.4%. England records 91.1%, while the gap between first and second is 54.8 pp.
