Immigration is estimated at 1,235,300 people, compared with 496,500 emigrants. The difference produces net international migration of 738,700 people.

Data notes & caveats
The figures use the population-estimates migration method and differ slightly from the separate provisional UK migration bulletin because Northern Ireland uses a different method and data source.
Methodology
The three values are taken from the ONS UK population estimates bulletin for the year to mid-2024. Net migration is checked as immigration minus emigration.
Source consistency notes
All three measures use one ONS release, the same year-to-mid-2024 period and people unit.
