What the Data Shows

UN mission fatalities are ranked by cumulative recorded deaths in the UN peacekeeping fatality source through 28 February 2026. The ranking uses 10 missions measured in fatalities, with shares computed against 4,489 total recorded fatalities. UNIFIL ranked first with 339 fatalities, followed by MINUSMA at 311 and MONUSCO at 308. The top 10 missions accounted for 56.4% of total recorded fatalities, and the UN says fatality data are under review.
