Vukovar-Srijem’s census population fell from 179,521 in 2011 to 143,113 in 2021. The two county counts use the same final DZS census results and residence concept. The county lost 36,408 residents, a decline of 20.3%. Its relative decline was about 10.7 percentage points steeper than Croatia’s national census decline.
