The comparison covers business-process innovation share minus product-innovation share across 13 Greek regions for 2020–2022. The gap subtracts the share of SMEs introducing product innovations from the share introducing business-process innovations. Epirus ranks first at 27.3 pp, ahead of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace at 19.5 pp. Peloponnese records the lowest included value at 5.9 pp, a range of 21.4 percentage points from the leader.

Methodology

Eurostat’s 2025 Regional Yearbook supplies both component measures for each Greek region. The difference is Business-process innovation minus Product innovation, and regions are ordered highest to lowest using unrounded values.
