Employment changes are compared across Canada’s 10 provinces from May to June 2026. All 10 provinces use seasonally adjusted Labour Force Survey employment totals for both months, with changes measured in thousand persons. Quebec recorded the largest increase at +14.3 thousand persons. Ontario recorded the largest decrease at -16.7 thousand persons.

Evidence: Supports provincial employment in May and June 2026 and the within-province changes.
Values are seasonally adjusted monthly Labour Force Survey estimates in thousand persons. Positive values indicate gains and negative values indicate losses.
For each province, the monthly change equals the June value minus the May value. Provinces are ordered by the absolute size of that movement.
Both endpoints use the same Statistics Canada release, common unit and provincial employment definition.
