What the Data Shows

China’s year-end foreign exchange reserves are tracked from 2020 through 2025. The six annual observations are reported in current US dollars from official National Bureau of Statistics communiqués. Reserves reached a series high of US$3.358 trillion in 2025 after a low of US$3.128 trillion in 2022. The 2025 level was US$141.4 billion above 2020.
