What the Data Shows

China’s four broad domestic regions are compared by current-price GDP from 2023 through 2025. The grouped comparison contains eastern, central, western and northeastern regions in trillion yuan. The eastern region remained the largest, reaching 73.088 trillion yuan in 2025. Central and western GDP were nearly equal in 2025, separated by only 35.8 billion yuan.
