What the Data Shows
5 world regions are ranked by the share of employment in occupations with some potential generative-AI exposure in the ILO 2025 study. The percentages are rounded model-based estimates and do not measure actual AI use, automation or job displacement. Europe and Central Asia ranks first at 32%, representing about 136 million workers in potentially exposed occupations. Americas ranks second at 29%, while Africa records 19%.

Data notes & caveats
Percentages are rounded model-based estimates of employment in occupations with some potential exposure. They do not measure actual AI use, automation or job displacement.
Methodology
The comparison uses total-employment estimates from Figure 20 of ILO Working Paper 140 and excludes the World benchmark from the ranking.
Source consistency notes
Every row uses the same ILO study edition, exposure definition and percent-of-employment unit.
