What the Data Shows

Norway’s productive forest area is divided by tree-species structure for the 2020–2024 inventory period. The five segments sum to 80,458 square kilometres, with the two mixed-dominance categories combined into one mixed-forest group. Broad-leaved forest was largest at 23,839 square kilometres, or 29.6 percent. Spruce forest accounted for 25.9 percent and pine forest for 22.3 percent.
