What the Data Shows
This composition describes housing tenure across Pakistan’s households in the 2023 census. The six categories reconcile to 38,292,556 households. Owned homes were the largest category at 81.9%, ahead of rented homes at 11.9%. Non-government housing was the smallest category at 0.1%.
