Data notes & caveats

Nominal GDP is in current US dollars. Real PPP GDP is in constant 2021 international dollars, abbreviated as PPP$. The two measures use different valuation bases and should not be subtracted.

Methodology

Russia’s 2024 nominal GDP uses the World Bank current-US-dollar indicator, while real PPP GDP uses the constant-2021-international-dollar indicator. The multiple divides the PPP value by the nominal value while preserving the two distinct valuation bases.

Source consistency notes

Both values refer to Russia and 2024, but use two separate World Bank WDI indicators and intentionally different valuation bases.
