Data notes & caveats

Foreign-exchange reserves and gold are the two top-level components of total reserves. Foreign exchange, special drawing rights and the IMF reserve position are nested within the foreign-exchange-reserve total. The published components sum to US$720.448 billion versus a US$720.447 billion total because the table is rounded to millions.

Methodology

The official 30 June 2026 total and the two top-level component values are taken from one Bank of Russia monthly table. Shares divide each component by the published total. Millions of US dollars are divided by 1,000 only for compact public display in billions.
