People without health insurance are compared across the 50 states for 2024. The measure is people without health insurance as a share of the civilian noninstitutionalized population and is reported as a percentage. Texas has the highest estimate at 16.7%, 4.8 percentage points above Georgia. New Mexico ranks ninth at 10.1%, making the leading estimate 1.66 times as high; close estimates should be read with their reported 90% margins of error.
